Welcome to our office! As a patient, we understand that going to a new doctor can often be stressful. We want you to feel comfortable asking any questions before, during, or after your visit. We are happy to help ease any concerns you may have.
To make your first visit easier, we have provided our enrollment forms on-line. Click on the link to down-load and complete the forms prior to your visit. It is very important that you bring all studies, imaging, and other office notes related to your injury or condition on the day of your appointment. A government-issued picture ID is also necessary for your first visit.
IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO BRING ALL MEDICAL RECORDS RELATED TO YOUR UPPER EXTREMITY CONDITION. IF YOU HAD ANY SPECIAL STUDIES PERFORMED, YOU MUST BRING THESE TO AVOID HAVING TO WAIT FOR THESE TO BE FAXED OR SENT TO OUR OFFICE OR HAVING TO SCHEDULE AN ADDITIONAL VISIT.
INSURANCE & PAYMENT
The office participates in most insurance plans and accepts all major credit cards.
AFTER HOURS CARE
Dr. Gonzalez-Hernandez and his physician assistant participate in the emergency on-call care of hand injuries from several of the area hospitals. The clinic has a 24 hour specialty-related, EMERGENCY-ONLY answering service that appropriately routes calls.
However, If you are experiencing severe shortness of breath, chest pain, uncontrolled bleeding, or any other medical emergency situation, please call 911.

Our phones are answered during business hours with a lunch break between 12pm – 1PM.
Dr. Gonzalez-Hernandez has regularly scheduled clinic and surgery days. The office is open daily for occupational therapy and to provide administrative assistance and scheduling.

We accept emergency walk-in patients, please call our office to coordinate with our staff.
Dr. Gonzalez-Hernandez has tremendous respect for your time. However, he participates in the on-call emergency schedule for many local hospitals. Often, he will evaluate and treat patients who are severely injured on the same day. These injuries are often complex and unpredictable and he may need to attend to them immediately. Occasionally this may affect your appointment time.
