J. Albert Guerrero, PA-C
A native of Texas, Mr. Guerrero received his Masters in Health Professions Management and Physician Assistant Studies from The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas.
A member of The American Academy of Physician Assistants, he actively participates in the only national organization to represent physician assistants in all medical and surgical specialties. High standards for continuing education and recredentialing are a part of his ability to practice medicine and remain certified as a physician assistant.
Physician assistants are certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) – a mark of professional accomplishment – and are state licensed. They are health professionals who practice medicine as members of a team with their supervising physicians. PAs deliver a broad range of medical and surgical services. As part of their comprehensive responsibilities, PAs conduct physical exams, diagnose and treat illnesses, order and interpret tests, counsel on preventive health care, assist in surgery, and prescribe medications.
In addition, Mr. Guerrero functions as the practice administrator facilitating the practice organization and ensuring governmental compliance. His cooperation with multiple hospitals and physician offices allows him to quickly intervene if there is an urgent matter at hand.
Zeyda Carratala, OTR/L
A licensed Occupational Therapist, Zeyda uses up to date methods of treating our patients with upper extremity conditions.
A graduate of Florida International University, she is licensed by the State of Florida to practice as an occupational therapist. She maintains her license by continuously updating herself on the advancements in the field of occupational therapy.
She provides a warm and caring atmosphere for patients so that they may recover from their injuries and her persistence and dedication results in incredible outcomes.

Humberto Garbayo, RN
Humberto, a physician in Cuba, migrated to the United States over ten years ago. His medical background and advanced education allows him to provide immediate triage and medical services for Dr. Gonzalez-Hernandez. Humberto continues to advance his knowledge and understanding of hand disorders and provides a caring environment for our patients.
Lisa is the first person you will likely see upon visiting our clinic. Although checking-in patients is often stressful, her patience and ability to communicate with new and returning patients is exceptional. Any question you may have can quickly be answered or routed to the necessary person.
Maggie is able to quickly manage the continuously changing surgical schedule for Dr. Gonzalez-Hernandez. She is able to coordinate between hospitals, surgical outpatient centers, and our office in order to schedule services.
Erika can help quickly provide answers to any questions you may have regarding treatment. She will help provide resources for any special studies that may be required. You will most likely see her during check-out.
